MPs Debate Soldiers' Pay as Reports Show Poverty in Army Ranks

Ljubljana, 22 January - The parliamentary Defence Committee debated Tuesday reports about creeping poverty among Slovenian soldiers, hearing warnings by military unions and the army leadership that many soldiers are struggling to make ends meet due to austerity measures that have eaten into their income.
