Regulator APEK Changes Name to AKOS

Ljubljana, 22 January - The Agency for Post and Electronic Communications (APEK) has changed its name to the Agency for Communication Networks and Services (AKOS) effective on Wednesday. The new name results from new legislation under which the agency also took charge of competition protection in the market of railway services in mid-2011.
