Govt to Seek EU Relief over Ice Storm
Postojna, 2 February - Slovenia will seek aid from the EU, Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek announced on Sunday after she inspected the devastation caused by an ice storm in south-western Slovenia, which she described as a large-scale disaster. Power outages have affected 88,000 customers country-wide as the icy grip is tightening.
