Slovenia Receiving EU Aid to Cope with Power Outage

Brussels, 3 February - Slovenia is already receiving assistance from the EU in the form of electricity generators to compensate for the power outage caused by a severe cold snap, after the Slovenian government launched the EU civil protection mechanism on Sunday to request support. EU Council President Herman Van Rompuy said the EU would help with the funds available.
