Türk Confirms Informal Talks About UN Sec-Gen Candidacy

New York, 13 February - Former President Danilo Türk told the press in New York on Wednesday that informal talks were under way within the East-European group in the UN system about the possibility of the next UN secretary general (2017-2021) coming from this group. He confirmed that his name was also being mentioned in this context.
