OLYMPICS: Košir Silver in Snowboard Slalom

Košir and Wild were the fastest to emerge from the qualifiers and set up a fitting final after dominant performances in the knock-out rounds.

While Wild had run over his previous opponents, Košir would not be pushed over in the final, as he stayed within striking distance throughout, only to be pipped at the gate by 0.11 seconds.

It was a contrast of two styles, with Wild's brash, attacking approach and Košir's composed, accurate glide through the gates.

The medal was Košir's second of the Games, after bronze in the parallel giant slalom on Wednesday, and increased Slovenia's tally in Sochi to eight.
