Public Property Torts Proven in 597 Companies

Ljubljana, 2 April - SLOVENIA/AUDIT/OWNERSHIP/TRANSFORMATION
The Agency for Payments, Supervision and Information has launched the audit process in 1,049 Slovene companies in the period from mid-1993 to 15 March 1996, as well as issued 917 audit reports on ownership transformation. The audits have been completed in 88 percent of the total of 1,086 companies which are to be audited. The agency established public property torts have been committed in 597 companies. The value of the proven torts amounts to SIT 69 billion and 751 million (DM 141 million at the exchange rate by the end of 1992), according to the Agency's report.
