Businesses, Opposition Reject VAT Hike

Ljubljana, 31 March - Business chambers and opposition parties voiced string criticism Monday against the government's plan to raise value added tax (VAT) rates to offset the revenue shortfall following the repealing of the real estate tax. Their unanimous suggestion seems to be to cut spending instead.
