Govt Proposes 5% Cut in Public Wage Bill, Unions Up in Arms
Ljubljana, 1 April - The government adopted in a correspondence session on Tuesday a draft reform programme the country is due to send to Brussels by the end of the month. However, the draft seems to be facing an uphill battle, as it proposes a 5% cut in the public sector wage bill, which has triggered a strong reaction from trade unions.
