Diplomat Bergant Becomes New Head of Demining Fund

Ljubljana, 2 July - Career diplomat Damjan Bergant has been appointed the new director of the Slovenian-run fund for demining, ITF Enhancing Human Security. Bergant, who is finishing his term as Slovenia's permanent representative at the Council of Europe, will take over for four years from Dorijan Maršič on 1 August, the Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
