Ljubljana, 11 July - This week saw the peak of the election campaign. The rhetoric grew harsher and several scandals were lobbed into the scene, though none appears to have had a major impact. The campaigning politicians also got reality checks from miners in Velenje and public sector unions, who showed that the new government will have its work cut out.
