Ten Years After Posočje Tremor, Renovation Still Underway

Kobarid, 12 July - Ten years to the day a second earthquake in six years shook the Posočje region in the north-west, damaging more than 1,800 buildings and killing one person. Restoration works, which were originally planned to be completed by 2008, have not yet been completed.
