Commissioner Candidate(s) Expected as Deadline Expires

Ljubljana, 31 July - The outgoing government is expected to notify the new head of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker of its pick of a candidate for Slovenia's member of the commission as the deadline for EU member countries to do so expires on Thursday. Unofficial information indicates the government could submit four candidates.
