The Pope in Slovenia

Ljubljana, 24 April - POPE/SLOVENIA/PROGRAMME
Pope John Paul II will visit Slovenia between 17 and 19 May at the invitation of Slovene President Milan Kučan. The head of the Roman-Catholic Church - this will be his first visit to Slovenia - will stay in all three Slovene dioceses, namely in Ljubljana, Postojna and Maribor. Right during his stay in Slovenia, on 18 May, John Paul II will celebrate his 76th birthday.
