UNESCO Awards Heritage Status to Areas Researched by Slovenian Maya Expert

Ljubljana, 13 August - UNESCO has put the southern part of the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve on the Yucatan Peninsula, where a number of archaeological sites have been discovered in recent years under the leadership of Slovenian Maya expert Ivan Šprajc, on its World Heritage list.
