Flooding Claims First Victim

Vransko, 13 September - Swollen waters in eastern Slovenia claimed the first victim Saturday. In the vicinity of Vransko, some 50 km north-east of Ljubljana, a car plunged into a stream due to eroded banks. One person was killed and a second passenger in the car is still missing.
