Elections are the only survival of the Middle East peace process, estimates Delo's Cairo correspondent Ervin Hladnik - Milharčič commenting on the beginning of the election media campaign. He adds it is now clear what topics will decide the battle between Labour prime minister Shimon Peres and Likud opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu. The disputable issue is peace as the two politicians both claim to be bringing peace to the holy land and both face huge problems.
