Slovenian Banks Profitable but Assets Shrinking

Ljubljana, 28 October - Banks in Slovenia were profitable in the first eight months of the year, generating a cumulative operating profit of EUR 137m, up 10% over July. However, credit remains tight and banks' total assets dropped by almost a percent to under EUR 40bn, the central bank said Tuesday.
