Diabetes Costs Reach EUR 120m per Year

Ljubljana, 12 November - The direct and indirect costs of treating diabetes exceed EUR 120m per year, or over 5% of the national health insurance budget, according to data presented at a conference on diabetes on Wednesday amidst warnings that the financial burden of the disease is becoming unsustainable.
