SDS Unsuccessful in Attempt to Oust Speaker

Ljubljana, 20 November - The National Assembly rejected on Thursday with 57 to 15 votes a motion by the opposition Democrats (SDS) to oust Speaker Milan Brglez. While the SDS claimed Brglez's views were anti-constitutional and that he favoured totalitarian regimes, most parties said the debate was a waste of time.
