FinMin Mramor Fears EU Went Too Far in Banking Regulation

Ljubljana, 26 November - Finance Minister Dušan Mramor expressed concern in a panel debate in Ljubljana on Wednesday that the expansion of banking regulation in the EU to its present level may prove too much in the long run. "I think we went too far," said the minister, who also argued in favour of the privatisation of Slovenia's biggest banks.
