jubljana, 15 May (STA) - Slovene press on the parliament-adopted decision to call a legislative referendum on parliamentary elections

Ljubljana, 15 May - In an article entitled The Referendum Trap, Delo writes the parliament by endorsing the Law on Referendum and People's Initiatives set a trap, where, however, it is likely draw the shortest straw. Apparently the law was not devised for a situation where political parties compete with each other by using the most democratic form of decision-making to achieve voter attention, though the refendum itself may loose any meaning along the way.
