Pope Expected in Slovenia Friday Afternoon

Pope John Paul II will arrive for a three-day visit in Slovenia Friday afternoon, at the invitation of Slovene President Milan Kučan. The Head of the Roman Catholic Church, paying his first visit to Slovenia, will visit all three Slovene dioceses: Ljubljana, Postojna and Maribor. During his stay in Slovenia, on Saturday, 18 May, John Paul II will celebrate his 76th birthday.
