Budget Deficit in 1995 Equals 0.1 Percent of GDP

Owing to the budget surplus and surpluses in the budgets of local communities on one hand, and deficits in the pension and disability insurance and compulsory health insurance on the other hand, the global consolidated balance sheet of public finance showed at the end of 1995 a deficit amounting to SIT 655 million (US$ 4.7 million), which is less than 0.1 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), the Ministry of Finances establishes in the 1995 balance sheet of public finance.
