Slovene President Milan Kučan welcomed Pope John Paul II, beginning his three-day visit in Slovenia, at the Ljubljana Airport Friday afternoon. Expressing his "sincere greetings" on the Pope's long-awaited visit in Slovenia", President Kučan said that Slovenia followed with anticipation, compassion and approval the Holy Father's persistent efforts to win over all humanity to the most compelling truth of the times in which we live.
