Constitutional Court Scraps Jail for Unpaid Fines

Ljubljana, 17 December - Slovenia's Constitutional Court has quashed provisions in the minor offences act allowing the jailing of persons who fail to pay their fines, the Human Rights Ombudsman said in a statement on Wednesday.
