Local Community Up in Arms as TEŠ, Velenje Mine Plan Pay Cuts

Velenje, 23 December - The Velenje city council discussed on Tuesday the financial issues of state-owned energy companies in the area, the TEŠ thermal power plant in Šoštanj and its coal supplier, the Velenje mine. Company officials said that the miners will have to shoulder a part of the burden, as pay cuts are planned.
