Slovene Markets to Trade Over 40 Percent of GDP

Market capitalization of the Slovene capital market is extremely low as it amounts to a mere 5 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), Director of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange Draško Veselinovič said opening the 13th Stock Exchange Conference in Portorož, coastal Slovenia. With equity market capitalization of SIT 300 million ($ 2.2m) and debt market capitalization SIT 400 million ($ 2.9m), this places Slovenia to the bottom of the countries in transition.
