Slovene Press on Pope's visit in Slovenia

Titling its comment on the Pope's visit in Slovenia "A Successful Test of Tolerance", the Ljubljana daily Delo says the history will not read only that the sovereign of the Vatican State and the Head of the Roman Catholic Church was welcomed with profound respect and with all official honours, but will also say that the people listened to his words with enthusiasm experienced never before and with a slim chance to be experienced again in this country. The visit of John Paul II was also a test of tolerance, the tolerance which is not merely tolerant to differences but also respectful to different religious feelings, enjoying the happiness of another, the daily writes, adding that Slovenes have passed this test more than succesfully.
