Number of Foreign Visitors to Slovenia Decreases

Ljubljana, 20 May - Slovenia recorded a 2-percent decrease in overnight stays in the first fourth of 1996 compared with the same period last year. While the number of domestic visitors was the same as in the first fourth of 1995, the number of foreign visitors fell by 5 percent in the first fourth of 1996, the National office of Statistics reported. Foreign visitors accounted for 39 percent of the total number of overnight stays in this period.
