Government Attacks Problem of Redundant Workers with Special Project

The Slovene government discussed Thursday at the first part of its session, the second part is scheduled for late afternoon, the project of state assistance in personnel reorganization of companies for companies TAM, Hidromontaža, MTT Mariborske livarne, Paloma, Peko, Planika, BPT Tržič, Radeče papir, Cimos and Litostroj. The project is aimed not only at personnel reorganization but mainly at preventing the transition of about 6,000 redundant workers (approximately 40 percent of these are disabled) in the 11 above mentioned companies to open unemployment, Minister for Labour, Family and Social Affairs Tone Rop told a news conference after the session.
