Delo: A Long Way to Europe

Ljubljana, 24 May - Slovenia and the Czech Republic shared in many ways a similar path in the past five years. If the two countries have left the most critical period of transition behind them, if socially-wise the price to pay was not too high and if they are seen as democratically and politically "unproblematic" and economically the most powerful countries of Central and East Europe, there future interests will be expectedly similar, on occasions the same. It is therefore understandable why the two presidents, Milan Kučan of Slovenia and Vaclav Havel of the Czech Republic, pay so much interest and attribute such importance to this, the daily Delo, commenting President Kučan's visit in the Czech Republic, writes Friday.
