Support for Fiscal Rule Bill Uncertain as MPs Start Debate

Ljubljana, 28 January - The National Assembly will discuss on Wednesday the government-proposed fiscal rule implementation bill. It is yet unclear whether the bill will pass first reading, as a two-thirds majority is required, which means that coalition votes will not suffice, and two opposition parties are yet to decide about their support for the bill.
