Economic Situation In Slovenia Is Serious

Economic situation in Slovenia at present is rather severe. The problems are partially conditioned by economic conditions in Europe, by structural problems in Slovenia, as well as by the fact that Slovene society is consumer-oriented, told Minister of Economic Activities Metod Dragonja Friday at the 12th conference on market economy in Celje. The two-day conference titled How is Slovenia Prepared for European and World-wide Competition was organized by the Association of Economists from Celje. The participants were also addressed by Chairman of the Slovene Chamber of Economy (GZS) Jožko Čuk, speaking about the current economic situation in Slovenia.
