Ljubljana, 25 May - Ljubljana, 25 May - In response to weakening economic trends both in Slovenia and abroad, the government adopted late this week a package of economic measures to disburden economy and increase its competitive potentials. To take effect on 1 July, the package includes two new bills, four amendments to the existing laws and a budget re-balance, with the main measure being cuts in social contributions, through which the government has implemented its policy of reducing direct taxation of labour costs. The package is to take effect on 1 July.
