Parliamentary Committees Reject Debt Write Off for the Poorest

Ljubljana, 5 February - In spite of calls and warnings from civil society groups, the proposal of the opposition United Left (ZL) for a total or partial write-off of individuals' debt to fight poverty and encourage growth was rejected by the relevant parliamentary committees as the bodies debated the motion on Thursday.
