Prešeren Laureate Brvar, a Poet Who Hates Stereotype

Maribor, 8 February - Poet Andrej Brvar, one of the two recipients of this year's Prešeren Prize, has always been somewhat of an outlier on the Slovenian poetry scene. Perhaps unsurprisingly, he does not mince his words about Slovenian poetry, in particular the deeply ingrained stereotype of Slovenian poet.
