Events Galore Mark Culture Day

Ljubljana, 8 February - A host of events, large and small, were staged around Slovenia on Sunday to celebrate Culture Day, a national holiday held in honour of the country's greatest poet, France Prešeren. In addition to offering free access to many cultural venues, the holiday was also an opportunity to ponder the role of culture and the position of artists.
