2014 Record Year for Loggers after Ice Storm
Slovenj Gradec, 13 February - Slovenian loggers cut a record amount of wood last year, as much of the country's forests were damaged by a devastating ice storm in February. Forest Service boss Damjan Oražem says that 6.34 million of cubic metres of wood were cut last year. "An annual record since World War II, probably even an all-time record."
