Slovenia at EU Summit in Florence as Associate Member?

Italy, which is holding the presidency over the European Union, believes it would be possible to arrive, on the basis of the meeting Monday and further meetings, at the results enabling the signing of an associate agreement between Slovenia and EU, so that Slovenia could attend the EU summit meeting in Florence at the end of June as an associate member, Undersecretary to Italian Foreign Ministry Piero Fassino told a news conference Monday after the talks with Slovene officials.
