Farmers Want Solutions for Drinking Water Protected Areas

Hajdina, 20 February - Around 300 farmers who farm in safeguard zones in drinking water protected areas staged a rally near Hajdina (NE) on Friday to demand that the government address their disadvantaged situation compared to other farmers. They want their farm land replaced, higher compensation, or a purchase of such land by the state.
