Damage to Erased Being Remedied after Over Two Decades of Legal Limbo
Ljubljana, 26 February - Twenty-three years are passing today since the illegal erasure of thousands of citizens of the former Yugoslavia from Slovenia's permanent residency. A compensation scheme for the erased was introduced last summer and almost 6,000 claims have been filed since. So far, a total of EUR 17.5m has been granted to the claimants.
