Žižek Calls Democracy False Hope
Ljubljana, 4 March - The trio of Slovenia's acclaimed Lacanian philosophers Slavoj Žižek, Mladen Dolar and Alenka Zupančič explored the different layers of lies in front of a packed auditorium of the SNG Drama Ljubljana theatre on Tuesday evening. In this context, Žižek labelled democracy a false hope, a fetish which should be abandoned.
