EU Commission Throws Support Behind Embattled Central Bank

Ljubljana, 5 March - The European Commission has thrown its support behind the Slovenian central bank as it fends off allegations of wrongdoing in the 2013 bank bailout. A letter sent to the Slovenian prime minister defends Banka Slovenije's actions and calls for its independence.
