Police Chief Says Funding Cuts Could Compromise Security

Ljubljana, 21 March - Police Commissioner Marjan Fank warned that funding cuts in the force could compromise security in Slovenia and in the EU. "I cannot imagine what would happen if the force failed to pick up on suspicious activity and then some serious incident would happen in the EU. How would we explain that our resources were too low?"
