South-East Slovenia Home to Country's Oldest Folklore Festival

Črnomelj, 25 June - For more than half a century a small town of Črnomelj in the south-east of Slovenia comes to life in mid-June, when a festival celebrating the richness of music and dance heritage takes place. Apart from Slovenian folklore groups, Jurjevanje every year brings traditional music and dancing from other countries.
