Insolvency at Velenje Coal Mine Addressed with EUR 71M Recapitalisation

Velenje, 9 July - The shareholders of Premogovnik Velenje, the insolvent operator of Slovenia's biggest coal mine, voted on Thursday in favour of a EUR 71.6m capital increase led by the mine's biggest owner, power utility HSE. A challenge has been announced by small shareholders, while the meeting also saw the resignation of chief supervisor Jože Kaligaro.
