Roma Genocide Victims Remembered in Maribor

Maribor, 31 July - A ceremony remembered on Friday thousands of Roma and Sinti killed in the Porajmos, the genocide committed by the Nazis during World War II. The event took place near the old Maribor synagogue only days before the 71st anniversary of the Ziegeunernacht, when thousands of Roma were gassed in the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp.
