Janković Denies Abuse of Office Charges in Mercator Case
Ljubljana, 25 August - Former boss of retailer Mercator Zoran Janković denied abuse of office charges on Tuesday, as a trial into a suspect land deal from 2005 involving Mercator opened at the Ljubljana District Court. The prosecution alleged that the Ljubljana mayor and three other defendants acquired unlawful gains of EUR 100,000 in the deal.
