Novelty of Statistical Office: Quarterly National Accounts

At a Monday news conference of the National Statistical Office, quarterly national accounts were presented. They are a novelty and integral part of the national accounts system. According to the group for national accounts' independent advisor Karmen Hren the new quarterly national accounts fill a gap in the statistical calculations, since they provide a relatively detailed insight into basic macroeconomic aggregates for periods shorter than a year. The Office's Director Tomaž Banovec talked about the conference of European statisticians that also Slovenia attended in Paris in June.
